You fill in our short intake form telling us what you know about your ancestry. We do the research. You receive a clear written report with exactly what we found and what to do next. We keep you updated throughout — and if you’d rather talk something through, that works too.
Based overseas? We completed our own Luxembourg citizenship process entirely from abroad — sourcing documents, navigating archives, submitting the application — without setting foot in Luxembourg or the US. This can be done from anywhere.

How do I know if I actually qualify?
You might qualify if a parent, grandparent, or more distant ancestor was a citizen of a country that offers citizenship by descent. Rules vary significantly by country. The best first step is to tell us what you know and let us tell you whether a path exists. That’s what our Eligibility Snapshot is for.
Do I need to speak the language of the country I'm applying to?
For most programs — no. Ireland, Poland, Lithuania, Croatia, Slovakia, Luxembourg, and Canada all have no language requirement for citizenship by descent applicants. Documents in foreign languages need certified translation, which we help coordinate.
What documents do I actually need?
Generally a birth, marriage, and death certificate for every person in your generational chain back to the qualifying ancestor. The tricky part is knowing which databases to search, what to do when a record is missing, and what format each country accepts. That’s what we handle.
My family records are incomplete. Can you still help?
Often yes — this is one of the most common situations we work with. My own family thought we were German for 150 years. One record found in a Luxembourg archive changed everything. Incomplete family knowledge doesn’t mean there’s no path — it just means the research matters more.
Are you lawyers? Do I need a lawyer to apply?
We are not lawyers and do not provide legal or immigration advice. We provide genealogical research and document guidance. For most straightforward citizenship by descent applications you don’t need a lawyer — you’re proving a right that already exists, not arguing for one.
How long does the whole process take?
Our research takes 2-4 weeks depending on complexity. The Eligibility Snapshot is faster at 3-5 days. Once you submit your application, processing times vary by country — Ireland under a year, Poland and Canada currently 11-18 months. Getting the research right from the start prevents delays later.
